In some applications, the use of an uncoated cartridge will not guarantee a good performance from the antiparticulate filter. Typical signs of this malfunctioning are a blue or white smoke coming out of the exhaust, and a failure signal from the electronic control system. In such cases, the combustion gasses will need to be filtered with our cartridges, impregnated with active metals such as platinum and palladium.
